Halloween in Harrow 2026: a free pumpkin trail at Headstone Manor from 24 October, spooky crafts from £4, a witch show and pumpkin picking near Elstree.

Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, 31 October 2026, the day after Harrow’s community schools finish their half term. Most of the borough’s Halloween programme sits in the week before it, and most of that is at Headstone Manor in North Harrow. There is no big council-run Halloween event in Harrow; what there is comes from the museums, the Arts Centre and one shopping centre, and most of it needs booking.

The quick answer

The free one is the Pumpkin Trail at Headstone Manor, Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November, in museum hours (the Manor is closed on Mondays). For a pumpkin patch, the nearest we found with 2026 dates is Spook-Fest at Aldenham Country Park near Elstree, 10 to 31 October, with pumpkin picking on 10 and 11 October and daily from 17 October. Nothing is listed in Harrow for Halloween night itself.

Headstone Manor: the trail, the crafts and a witch

Headstone Manor and Museum, on Pinner View, HA2 6PX, carries most of Harrow’s Halloween. Its online box office is run by Harrow Arts Centre and adds a £1 booking fee per transaction.

  • Pumpkin Trail, Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November. The Manor has “been invaded by pumpkins”: find them all to spell a spooky word and win a treat. Pick up a free trail sheet at the museum entrance. It runs only while the museum is open, so not on Monday 26 October (Headstone Manor).
  • The Witch Who Couldn’t Sleep, Saturday 17 October, 2pm, The Great Barn. A 50-minute sing-along show with live action, music and animation, where children help Natascha the witch get to sleep. Pyjamas encouraged; seating is unallocated with cushions at the front. £12, concessions £10 (Headstone Manor).
  • Tuesday Tour: Halloween at Headstone, Tuesday 20 October, 2pm. An hour round the farm buildings and Manor House on the superstitions and customs that families used against the winter. Adults only; flat shoes, and you need to manage narrow stairs. £4.50 (Headstone Manor).
  • Halloween Nightmare Catcher workshop, Sunday 25 and Wednesday 28 October. A two-session course making a spooky dream catcher with a spider and hanging bats, owls and ghosts, for children aged 5 and over with an adult (two children per adult at most). Morning group 11am to 12.30pm, afternoon group 1.15pm to 2.45pm. £28, concessions £16, booked through Learn Harrow, not the museum (Headstone Manor).
  • Creepy Creature Pond Dipping, Tuesday 27 October, 10am or 11.30am. With the Friends of Headstone Manor Park in the Yeading Brook; bring wellies. You book tickets only for the children. £7, concessions £4 (Headstone Manor).
  • Spooky Halloween Craft, Friday 30 October, 10am or 11.30am, The Granary. Make glowing spiders, witches and bats, then take them outside, plus Halloween wordsearch and colouring. Again you book only for the children. £7, concessions £4 (Headstone Manor).

Harrow Arts Centre, Hatch End

The Arts Centre is at 171 Uxbridge Road, HA5 4EA; its box office is on 020 3773 7161 and also charges £1 per online or phone booking.

  • Spooky Puppet Theatre Workshop, Friday 30 October, 10am to 12pm, Belmont Room. Families make spooky puppets from recycled materials, which the centre supplies, then perform with them in a puppet theatre. For children aged 5 and over. £10, concessions £8 (Harrow Arts Centre).
  • Gothic Ghostly Tales, Tuesday 27 October, 7pm to 9pm, Backstage Bar and Cafe. The one for adults: the poet Alice Benson and the musician Marek Tribedi of Words2Music, with ghost stories in verse and prose. Ages 16 and over. £5 (Harrow Arts Centre).

Heath Robinson Museum, Pinner

Two Halloween-themed art workshops at the museum in Pinner Memorial Park, 50 West End Lane, HA5 1AE (Heath Robinson Museum):

  • Junior Art Workshop: Bugs and Bats, Tuesday 27 October, 10am to 11.30am. Moving bug and bat decorations. £10 per child.
  • Senior Art Workshop: Gargoyle Sculpture, Wednesday 28 October, 1pm to 3pm. Clay gargoyles. £15.

Harrow town centre

St George’s Shopping Centre has free Halloween face painting on Wednesday 28 October, 11am to 3pm, with a “Spooky Spin Wheel” of treats and offers for anyone who shows a £10 purchase made in the centre that day (We Are Harrow). No Halloween event is listed for St Ann’s or the wider town centre.

Pumpkin picking near Harrow

There is no pick-your-own pumpkin patch inside the borough. The nearest we found with 2026 dates published is just over the Hertfordshire border.

Spook-Fest, Aldenham Country Park Farm, Aldenham Road, Elstree, WD6 3BA, 10 to 31 October. The park says it is pitched as “spooky rather than terrifying” and suitable for all ages. The ticket includes the farm animals, a spooky themed farm with the “Aldenham Mausoleum” and Spooky Shack, a pumpkin hunt, giant puzzles, mini tractors and a bouncy castle. Scarecrow shows run on 17 and 18 October and from 24 to 31 October. Pumpkin picking is an extra you add when booking, on 10 and 11 October and daily from 17 to 31 October, and includes the carving marquee; a hay tractor ride runs on the same days as the scarecrow shows. Prices appear only in the park’s booking system, which you reach from the Spook-Fest page (Aldenham Country Park; 020 8953 9602).

Halloween night, and the week after
